Notes:
ONE show, with THE CASTILES the sole act on the bill. This is believed to have been the final-ever performance of The Castiles (excepting a one-off reunion performance at a private wedding reception in the summer of 1969). Castiles founder George Theiss subsequently joined the already established local band RUSTY CHAIN, while Bob Alfano and Vinny Manniello formed SUNNY JIM. Both Curt Fluhr and Paul Popkin (both of whom are now deceased) decided to forgot musical careers.

Notes:
Early show of two (8:00 PM) – featuring what is believed to have been the debut public performance of Springsteen’s new band EARTH – consisting of Springsteen on guitars & vocals, John Graham on bass and Michael Burke on drums. There are unconfirmed reports that Castiles organist Bob Alfano performed with EARTH for its first couple of gigs. Apparently Springsteen had first met Graham and Burke in May 1968 at The Off Broad Street Coffee House and had been jamming informally with them during the May-July period. All three were about to enter Ocean County College together as freshman.
