Many descriptions and information are taken from the greatest site about Bruce
Springsteen official discography, which, just in case you didn't know, is LOST
IN THE FLOOD; so, be sure to consult it, too. It is really a great site.
Notes:
Weird Ireland reissue of four 45s (“Born To Run”, “The Promised Land”, “Hungry Heart” and “The River”) in a transparent PVC display wallet with red cardboard header. The packaging of the four CD contained absurd errors and misspellings ("Meeting Across The Water", "Head Up Without A Gun", "V. Landay", "Steve Van Landt") and had overall inferior vinyl quality, so it was withdrawn. “Born To Run” and “The Promised Land” came in a black-and-white picture sleeve not used elsewhere, while “Hungry Heart” and “The River” were issued with the same packaging as the original UK pressings. Standard UK catalogue numbers for all the 4 items. See the singles' specific entries for more details and photos. Very (very) tough to find today.
