After visiting and performing privately for Castiles manager Tex Vinyard a couple of days earlier, Springsteen is invited by Tex for a tryout-rehearsal with the all 4 members of The Castiles present. Everyone is impressed and Bruce becomes a member of the band. The group would spend the next 6 weeks rehearsing.
