Notes: New York City Serenade starts with "Hidin' on the Backstreets" . From a fan "A folkie named Jae Mason opened the legendary Westbury Music Fair show. It was my fourth show and the one where it became obvious that no one could create such magic on stage. The best tapes cannot replicate what Bruce did with the extended Kitty's, Jungleland and New York City Serenade performances of that time. You sat there in a trance wishing the songs would never end. Several months later, my wife and I tried to explain this to Alan Pepper, while in line at his Bottom Line. He referred to us a couple of "nuts" in his Backstreets interview a couple of years ago--but got the idea of what we were talking about after 10 memorable shows in 5 nights."
